Detailed Description
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) 32.5% of Urea Liquid
The aqueous solution contains 32.5% of urea. The solution is injected into the exhaust pipe upstream of the SCR catalyst (Selective Catalitical Reducer). Due to the high temperature, urea decomposes to amonia and carbon dioxide. The ammonia then reacts with the nitrogen oxides to form, by a reduction reaction, dinitrogen and water.
