LOUNGE Triple Lateral Recycling Station 3 x 87L

Destined for indoor use, this Quebec-designed and -manufactured bin has a capacity of 87 liters per compartment.

MODULAR SYSTEM - The Lounge Latéral's modular design allows it to evolve in step with the current recovery program, by adding or grouping material categories. Each module is completely independent and can be attached to the others.

A glazed module is also available to create a customized island to display materials that need to remain in view without impacting the layout of your space, like the Lounge Latéral Sécurité sorting island.

MATERIAL - The manufacturing material is sheet steel with 50% recycled content and recyclable at the end of its life. The sheet is finished with electrostatic paint (baked-on paint) for high durability. The bin uses 18-gauge sheet steel, except for the bottom, which is 14-gauge. 87-liter (23 US gal) plastic liners are inserted inside each compartment. Bags measuring 30" x 38" can be used inside each of the liners. The liners, which feature a lip at the top, are made of plastic with 35% recycled content. Their proper insertion into the compartment is facilitated by two guides attached to the bottom.

DIMENSIONS - The exterior dimensions of a module are 19-1/4" (wide) x 19-3/4" (long) x 44-1/2" (high).

FRONT DOOR - The opening on the front of each compartment is a 22" 3/4 x 30" 7/8 door. The positioning of the pivots allows the door to open fully.

CASTORS - Quiet 2" diameter rubber castors make it easy to move the unit, even when filled with material.

CLOSER (optional) - An optional clasp is available, and can be installed on all openings.

POSTAGE (optional) - For signage, the use of Teflon-finished 3M vinyl stickers makes it easy to change posters as needed. The adhesive used is suitable for metal and electrostatic paint, so that it's just hard enough to remove the stickers (avoiding breakage by users), while still allowing them to be removed should you wish to change them.

This type of sticker and glue have proved their worth on bins in the Montreal metro, where passengers may be tempted to tear off the sticker. Experience shows that removal is too difficult, discouraging malicious travelers while remaining within reach of the team responsible for replacing the posters.

Vinyl stickers are coated with Teflon to ensure durability and prevent wear. The vinyl makes the stickers more resistant and easily washable.
