LOUNGE Waste Recovery Station 20 Gal

Designed for indoor use, this bin has a capacity of 58 liters per compartment. Designed and manufactured in Quebec.

The modular design of the MultiPlus allows it to evolve in line with the current recovery program, by adding or regrouping material categories. Each module is completely independent and can be attached to the others.

Each module is front-discharge, but materials are deposited through openings on the top (choice of opening: slot, round, square). A rubber edge around the opening makes the product safer.

MATERIAL -

The manufacturing material is sheet steel with 50% recycled content, recyclable at end-of-life. The sheet is finished with electrostatic paint (baked-on paint) for high durability. The bin uses 18-gauge sheet steel, except for the bottom, which is 14-gauge. Plastic 58-liter (23 US gal.) liners are inserted inside each compartment. Bags measuring 26" x 36" can be used inside each of the liners. The liners, which feature a lip at the top, are made of plastic with 35% recycled content. Their proper insertion into the compartment is facilitated by two guides attached to the bottom.

DISPLAY (optional) -

For display purposes, the use of Teflon-finished 3M vinyl stickers makes it easy to change posters as required. The glue used is adapted to metal and electrostatic paint, so that it's just hard enough to remove the stickers (avoiding breakage by users), while still allowing their removal in the event they need to be changed.

This type of sticker and adhesive has proved its worth on bins in the Montreal metro, where passengers may be tempted to tear off the sticker. Experience has shown that removal is too difficult, discouraging passengers, but still possible for the sign replacement team.

Vinyl stickers are coated with Teflon to ensure durability and prevent wear. Vinyl makes the stickers difficult to tear and easy to wash.
